Operating Principle – System Architecture

The system operates based on an intelligent combination of specialized components, including:

1. Workstation Monitoring Device: Each operator is connected to a wireless monitoring unit (e.g., model 8001, 8002…). This device continuously checks the grounding status of the wrist strap and transmits data via Zigbee wireless signals – an ultra-stable, energy-efficient sensor network technology.
2. Gateway Transceiver (Model: U002A): This is the heart and bridge of the system. The U002A unit acts as an intelligent Gateway, functioning as a “translator”:
   • Wireless side: It collects signals from all monitoring devices using the Zigbee protocol.
   • Wired side: It then converts this data into computer network protocol (TCP/IP) and transmits it via a LAN port (RJ45 cable) to the host computer.
3. Central Monitoring Software (ESD Host): The software on the host computer receives data from the U002A Gateway via LAN, displays the real-time status of each operator, and issues immediate alerts in the event of a fault.
